Over lockdown, I started experimenting a bit more with my make-up. With nowhere to go, I had the time to explore the more neglected products in my collection and give brighter colours and bolder styles a go. One of my favourites was my wearable green eyeshadow look, and a bubblegum pink 80’s inspired creation.
A few months ago, I wrote a post about my beauty wishlist as I was thinking about all the new bits and pieces I wanted to add to my collection. I’ve been slowly working on growing my collection for a while now, and I thought I’d bring all the beauty bits I’ve bought recently together in a post.
The was one of the products I included in my recent wishlist. I’d been looking for something a bit lighter to wear on summer days at work – not that I’ve been at work at all this summer as I’ve been working from home! I was hesitant to buy it as it’s so expensive but I’m so glad I did. Review coming soon!
This has actually been on my beauty wishlist for around 3 years – it featured on a wishlist post of mine from 2017! My usual eyebrow product ran out recently and I just thought, I’ve wanted it for so long, why not just bite the bullet and get it! It took me a while to get used to at first – less is definitely more with this product – but I’m sold now!
I’ve been wanting to try a loose powder for the longest time; I’ve always gone for pressed powder since I started wearing make-up. I’d heard such good things about the Laura Mercier one but as I wasn’t sure if I’d get on with it, I didn’t want to spend that much to start with and opted for a cheaper alternative. I think I’m only just figuring out how to use it properly so I’ll hold off on the more expensive option until I’ve got that down!
I actually bought this palette on impulse as it was on sale. I have another Morphe palette that I love and really wanted to add a new one to my collection. I use my other one all the time – and wrote a post about the different make-up looks you can create with it – and I plan to do the same with this one. It has so many unusual colours and I can’t wait to try out the bright turquoise and the yellow!
For years, I’ve been using a mix match of brushes and thought it was about time to just get a full collection once and for all. I thought about getting the James Charles x Morphe collection, but I couldn’t warrant £152 on make up brushes! So, I opted for two different sets from BH Cosmetics on Beauty Bay and I love them! I finally have a brush for everything, and double of a few so I have a spare if one needs cleaning.
Have you tried any of these products? What’s on your current beauty wishlist?
