My Blog’s First Birthday!

I can’t believe I started my blog a year ago today! I swear, it definitely doesn’t seem like it’s been a whole year!

I felt like I couldn’t let this day go by without writing a post about it. I started my blog a year ago when I’d finished my first year of Uni. I had a long summer break stretching out ahead of me and I was completely bored. After a busy year, having nothing to do, or write, left me feeling a bit lost and empty.

I started this blog wanting to have a space to be creative and write about the things I found interesting or the things I liked; I wanted to have something that was mine, that I could put my passions and interests into.

My blog has definitely been that for me over the last year. I definitely put a lot more effort into it over the summer but my second year of Uni took over and unfortunately my blog had to take a back seat. But, I’m now back and ready to put in as much as I can to make my blog exactly what I wanted it to be: my little creative space on the internet.

I’ve absolutely loved thinking of blog post ideas and spending my hours typing them up and, actually, being really proud of the content I’ve created. I’ve also found a love for photography that I never really had before. I’ll be the first to admit that the pictures featured on my blog are far from perfect but I do think they’ve gotten better and it’s an element of blogging that I’m starting to enjoy more and more.

One of the most important things that I’ve got out of blogging over this last year is the community that comes with it. My blog has brought me into a blogging community on Instagram, Twitter and even Pinterest and I completely love interacting with other creators and seeing my feeds full of incredible posts and pictures.

My blog has opened up a whole new world for me, and I love it! So, I’m incredibly happy that my blog has made it to 1 year!
