2018 Read List

I was meant to do a post like this at the start of the year but I’ve been so busy that I just never got round to it!

Every year, I set myself the goal of trying to read more. I love reading and always have but since starting Uni, I find that if I’m not reading for my course, I feel so guilty and so reading for pleasure went out of the window. I’ve done quite well in combating this so far this year and managed to read a few books whilst studying – I’m going to do another post about this so keep an eye out if you’re interested!

However, I still have a pile of books I hope to read this year and now that I’ve finished Uni until September, I’m going to crack on with them!

I thought I would share my current list with you as I love looking at what other people have read, or are planning to read, so I can add to my ever-growing ‘to-read’ collection!

The Power – Naomi Alderman

Go Set a Watchman – Harper Lee

The Lucky One – Nicholas Sparks

Call the Midwife – Jennifer Worth

The Travelling Cat Chronicles – Hiro Arikawa

The Last Letter From Your Lover – JoJo Moyes

It Can’t Happen Here – Sinclair Lewis

Brooklyn – Colm Toibin

These are the books on my near-future to-read list. I have so many others waiting for me and I keep adding to it – I can’t resist buying a few (seven) new books every time I visit a charity shop!

Let me know if you’ve read any of these – I’d love to know what you thought of them. No spoilers though, please! I’d also love any recommendations to add to my collection so leave a comment of any books you’ve loved recently!

I’d love to know what you think of these books when you’ve read them! I know everyone has said this, but I highly recommend reading ‘Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine’ if you haven’t read it already xx
